SPY-1 Radar Engineer (San Diego, CA)

The incumbent to this position will serve as an entry-level SPY-1 Radar Engineer on an Aegis SI&T program in San Diego, California.

 

Duties

  • Support equipment light off, integration, testing, troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenanceand training for the SPY-1 Radar
  • Travel to all domestic and international locations which Aegis ships may operate
  • Provide subject matter expertise during troubleshooting/repairing efforts
 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of equipment safety and standard operating procedures
  • Understanding of Planned Maintenance Subsystem (PMS) procedures
  • Understanding of digital, analog, and microwave test procedures
  • Strong computing skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to life up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel out to sea on a surface ship for up to 30 days at a time
  • Ability to work in a loud environment
  • Ability to attain and hold a DoD Secret Clearance
